My heart soars when I'm with you

After Monday's "Incredible print-and-cut" card, I thought I'd make something that is more "cut" and
less "print". I made another hybrid card*.

First I modified the hot air balloon svg by replacing the balloon portion with a heart and even though I did a print-and-cut on the card base, the main image was cut out on different cardstock and layered. Once again, by combining traditional paper-piecing (i.e. paper layering) with print-and-cut, I managed to give the illusion of an extra layer without the added bulk.

Here are the screenshots for both the print-and-cut layer and the "Cut only" mat:

Here is my finished card:

Files:
Balloon Craze SVG
Great Scott It's Love cut its (heart shape)
Cloud Nine SVG (cloud)
Hogs and Kisses Paper Pack
LD Hipster Child font
SNF Playground font

*Hybrid card: a card that combines both traditional paper-piecing (paper-layering) with print-and-cut.

  1. Great job on your card. I love how you mixed different cuts and how you showed what your mats looked like. Wonderful!
