You can stand under my umbrella

Do you blog? Have you ever had a day when you feel like just posting pictures of your projects without saying anything at all? Today is that kind of a day for me. When I started Under A Cherry Tree (UACT), all that I wanted to do was to post a picture of my card. This blog was supposed to be a personal record book, a log for myself so that I have a register of when I made what.

It has only been 3 years since I started UACT and it has evolved into something so much bigger than what I had originally intended. Besides a plethora of photos, you can also find many cutter reviews, software tutorials, free files, deals, and discount codes here. With so many of you listening and subscribing, you are quite the audience for a little log book. Thank you so much for all your support!

Perhaps that's why I started the new gallery over at A Bunch of Cherries. I suppose, subconsciously I wanted to go back to the basics. The new gallery is what this blog was supposed to be - a simple log book. Each post contains a single photo, with links to the files that I used, and a link to the original blog post. Now that I think about it, it's funny how I couldn't have started that without first starting UACT. Ha!

If you have not visited A Bunch of Cherries, just click here to learn how to use it. If you have seen the new site, THANK YOU for visiting. I hope that you will continue to view the gallery as I will be updating it on a regular basis. You can use it as a directory to UACT, or as a digital coffee table book full of LD projects.

Having said that, let me show you today's card as if I was blogging for the first time. With one title, a few photos, and links to the files that I used.

Enjoy.

  2. Hi Jin! I've found your blog when I haven't any hope to discover what to do with my life. Well, I didn't know yet, but you and your work makes me think that I can do a little kind of cute stuff until I decide what road to take. Thanks for the support, and sorry for my terrible english, haha. I'm from Brazil and I don't practice the language for a long time. Thanks for the support. Thanks for little drops of hope. thanks! <3

  6. Jin, what adhesive do you use? I've used stick glue for some things and pop dots for others and for the bigger pieces I've used photo stickers. Some of the tiny pieces I worry will come off.

  7. Hi Jin, I really love this card, so pretty. I wonder if you can help me. I have the weather girl cut its from LD however the little girl above in your card has a blue external line all around her as part of the image. I notice that you don't have this in your print and cut above so wondered if you could let me know why and how I would go about removing this from my file before I print/cut. Many thanks. Helen

    1. If you are using the Cut Its, just Ungroup the image and you can delete away the bottom-most layer which is blue or you can change it into white.

    2. Oh finally! Thank you Jin. I played around and found out all sorts of new things since your reply! I am new to all of this and learning every day. I just need to make my machine print and cut correctly now! It never cuts where it should so I must be doing something wrong. Thank you again.

  8. I love the card! Can you tell me what size you cut the hearts at, I'm thinking maybe 1/2". That is one of the cutest Valentine's cards I've seen in a long time. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent!
