The Candy Robber

I've been enjoying all the files that LD has been giving out lately. How cool are all those shadow boxes and jigsaw puzzles? And how about that I Love Candy Corn? Have you ever seen candy corn as crazy looking as these?

They crack me up!

Then there are all those new collections. Seriously, I think that LD has gone nuts. I've never seen them release so many Halloween sets so quickly, and especially early enough in the season so that we actually have time to play with them! If you have been shopping with LD, you would know that LD usually release their new sets very close to the holiday. Surprisingly this year they are actually releasing their new products early and I, for one, am super happy about it.

Speaking of new sets, just how fun is that new Owl Goes Hoo and Ghost Goes Boo?

I think my favorite image in that set has got to be the hedgehog. Or is that a porcupine? Whatever it is, it's made up of only 7 layers, out of which 2 are for the critter's cheeks, and 2 for the ears. The hedgehog is easy to assemble but I wanted to simplify it further. How about I combine the face into a single layer so that I can assemble the whole thing with only 2 layers? I could print-and-cut the face! That way I wouldn't even need to worry about finding cardstock with the right shade of beige. I could just print it! And that's exactly what I did.

Using Silhouette Studio Designer Edition, I came up with this:

I ended up printing-and-cutting the card base and the face of the hedgehog but I cut its body on grey cardstock. I also added a mask to the project and I cut that out from black cardstock.

And here's the finished card:

  4. Super job! I have to learn how to do this. It must take forever deciding and finding the different parts of files you want...like the mask from Zoro or what Alphas to use. Sweet card.
